Some guy just called me about an apartment. I left a message yesterday. We started chatting. He was very nice. I realized that I should mention Miss Beebles. After he told me about one stupid apartment, I said, "I should first ask you your policy on animals. We have one cat---" Before I could get the word out, he turned into a venomous beast and totally shut me down and read the riot act. "I can't believe it. You should know, being a New Yorker, how busy people are and when you call them and they take the time to call you back and they DIDN'T even read the ad, that said NO PETS or smoking." And he kept on going on, ranting and I apologized to him. I kept my cool, and said, "Do you think we'll find a hard time renting with one cat?" And he said, "OF COURSE, you'll have a hard time renting, a VERY hard time."
You know what I think, I think you are a big mean asshole and I don't want to rent from your sorry ass anyway.
I mean, you could take a look at Miss Beebles for yourself. I understand the bias against animals, because they can be a big messy pain in the ass, but can't people figure out that animals are all different and could have references themselves. I think B & T could vouch for the fact that Miss Beebles is possibly the quietest neatest cleanest cat they know. She doesn't smell and she doesn't claw. She's a little messy with her food, and she's puts on airs, but that's about it. See for your self: Miss Beebles
Whatever!!

So, everyone knows that I am QUITTING. (That deserved caps.) I can't help myself from saying it, loud and proud. Everyone is jealous -- they look at me askance when I use the ladies, or when I'm at the cooler. They murmur to themselves, Who is that woman? And why do I want to be her?
I have decided to try and do less than I have ever done before in these next few weeks. Many people are doubtful that this is possible. But I tell you, I can do it! I have been training to do very little at my job, with a maximum of procrastination and dawdling, for nigh on two years!! I accept the challenge!
